International Youth Day

On 12.8.2009 Naseej Program celebrated with its partners in Jordan, World Youth Day in Prince Hassan's Forest, that was attended by more than 450 young men and women from different governorates in Jordan and a group of Arab guests from Egypt and Palestine, which began on a range of voluntary activities, during which young people cleaned up the forest,  implanted trees and build a children's play area. Then gave each partner a paragraph expressing their talents, creativity of poetry,  singing, drawing and representation. At the end of the ceremony, young rap group 962 Jordan Street, a collection of songs that mimic the reality of young people in Jordan and the ceremony was concluded with the artist Hani Mitwasi, a set of songs that interact with youth in a large and distinctive way.

It is noteworthy that the tissue in Egypt in cooperation with the Association of Community Development organised a festivel this day,  the event was also held in El-Arish in North Sinai, attended by 26 participants of 12 representatives of civil associations and youth groups from 8 provinces , Alexandria, Cairo, Helwan, Brown Suef, Assiut, Minya, Qena and Aswan and North Sinai which have landscaped and planted the field of leading the Arab heart of the city of El Arish. Followed by field work ceremonial kindled by Sinai Task  for Folk Arts.




Naseej organized The 3rd Youth Workers Regional event

Naseej organized the 3rd Youth Workers Regional event which took place between Friday September 25th, and Monday September 28th at the Marriott – Dead Sea.  

The event was held to achieve one of Naseej objectives, which is focusing on strengthening and supporting vocational capacities of youth workers as well as encouraging experience exchange and knowledge among youth activists and representatives in community youth development in the Arab World.The content of the meeting focused on preparing youth to be ambassadors and trainers that are capable of delivering positive community youth development to their peers in their countries and all the Arab countries.  

More than 20 youth participated in this event representing different Arab countries including Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, Yemen, Bahrain, Morocco, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and some of the participants had the privilege of meeting His Majesty King Abdullah II at the previous event that was held in Ajloun reserve in June 2009, were His Majesty encouraged such meetings and ensured the importance of youth role in the community development adding that Jordan will remain the home for all Arabs.  

Furthermore, workshops will be held in different Arab countries to disseminate these concepts; such as the workshop that will be held in Mauritania next month funded by Naseej program with the participation of trained youth who will be selected after the Dead Sea event.





Naseej started activating the exchange, internships grants.

Since that Exchange, internships and apprenticeships Grants one of the main components of Naseej Program to foster and to create opportunities for shared learning of CYD work with a special focus on Naseej partners where youth, youth workers/ activists/advocates, NGOs representatives are provided with opportunities for exchange, linkages, intergenerational learning and relations as well as capacity building activities   Naseej started activating the exchange, internships grants, many youth benefited from this component from different Arab countries such as some youth from Egypt and Jordan went to Lebanon, from Jordan and Palestine to Egypt and more will benefit after study their proposal.   As a result after visitation young people will write articles or success stories about their experiences, and then we will upload it to Naseej’s website.  



The Second Youth Workers regional event -Ajloun

Held in the Ajloun reserve north of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the second Youth workers regional, where  more than 45 young men and women from 13 Arab countries attended in addition to Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Yemen, Palestine, Algeria, Tunisia, Syria, Iraq, and Morocco, Sudan, Bahrain, and Mauritania.

Hour-long program of panel discussions, training, and various performances, and marked the participants, who ranged in age from 20-30 years to contribute to most of the actors in the episodes, which relied primarily on the experiences of the participants and the different experiences. The content of the meeting focused on the ideal qualifications to be enjoyed by young activist, and for the concepts and directions of Community Youth Development. The participants are expected to transfer these concepts to their peers after their return to their country through a program agreed upon with the NaseejTea His Majesty King Abdullah II, who culminated in the meeting,  welcomed guests, Arabs and listed to their opinions, His Majesty stressed the importance of the establishment of these youth meetings to exchange experiences, lessons and best practices, as stressed Jordan's readiness to host such meetings. His Majesty's visit was the greatest impact in the hearts of young people which has sparked enthusiasm and determination to give of their best to serve their communities.
