“CYD Youth Workers – advanced - Regional Workshop” - Ajloun Reserve, Jordan - June 2009
The event focused on building better & common understanding of Naseej main concepts & approaches along with developing unified practical interpretation and definitions to all.
In addition to providing an open platform for the “youth workers” and young activists in the Arab World to share experiences and best practices and build potential partnerships and encourage the formation of a “youth workers” informal network. Such work is an integral part of Naseej interest and efforts to strengthening the field of CYD through enhancing ‘Youth Workers’ programmatic competencies and acknowledging the “Youth Worker’s” profession.
Thirty-seven (37) practitioners attended representing 8 different Arab countries divided into 29 Youth workers related to Naseej Partners from Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine and Yemen, and 8 other youth workers and activists who are linked to other regional initiatives and networks from other Arab Countries (Iraq, Syria, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan, Bahrain & Mauritania).
The ‘Ajloun CYD Event’ marked a key phase in what came to be later “Naseej Youth Workers and CYD Projects.”
