Community Youth Development
The Community Youth Development (CYD) discourse is a development trend that currently being taught at colleges and universities in the west. It simply attempts to consolidate the youth development and community development efforts and work thus presenting a new model for creating change at all levels in a given society (or within any other group). As a field, CYD is a concept-based and not a sector-based, a process-based where the process is part of the main results, the reason why it could easily become a life trend/style and not only a working trend/approach.
This section highlights concepts, approaches and definitions/language that are linked to the community youth development field.

The Arab World is full of success stories and positive examples of youth and adults working together to create positive change in and for their communities and lives. Through this section, Naseej aims at documenting and disseminating some of these success stories and examples that we come across so that on one hand they are acknowledged and appreciated and on the other can inspire others.
We encourage and invite you all to share your success stories and models with us and others through this website. | |
